Red Rot

"Not to be Morbid, but..."

Red Rot is a queer multi-media artist from the North-West of England. Their work is a love letter to the grotesque and the innate beauty in the macabre. Through painting, textiles, or poetry; Red’s visual vocabulary is inspired by a love of horror and the gothic that they have had since childhood. Body horror, cannibalism, religious iconography, bones and glitter combine to create an enigmatic and evocative exploration of what it is to be human, to be queer, to struggle with mental health and to embrace the dual nature, the Eros and Thanatos of existence.
